Over the past year or so, I've been working on a Tiberium-based RPG game. Set sometime in the 1600's, this game poses the question "What if Tiberium arrived earlier?" You'll get a quick taste of what this game is about, and more videos will follow as time passes and progress is made. Take a look!
If you'd like to check out some of the other progress being made, take a look at our Tiberium RPG forums!
Victory Games have released six APA wallpapers from the new Command & Conquer. This way, we also got the names of three more Generals: 1000 Suns, Inferno and Taskmaster. They are available in different aspect ratios:
Hence, the new Wallpapers section on the official site has been opened for public view. Logically, we can expect these for the EU and GLA Generals as well.
Despite the big changes and upheaval for the team at EA Phenomic, its good to see development and support for Tiberium Alliances is still there. So with that in mind, here is a summary of the latest updates coming in the month of August.
Patch Notes August
Overview
In this patch a set of 6 fresh upgrades will be released for the following units:Unit Updates
- GDI Kodiak (Offense)
- Nod Salamander (Offense)
- GDI Missile Squad (Offense and Defense)
- Nod Black Hand (Offense and Defense)
Change - 13.08.2013
- GDI Kodiak – Aegis Aura (Offense)
The Aegis Aura creates radial shield around the Kodiak that will protect allied ground units from incoming damage as long as the aura has energy left.- Nod Salamander – Conversion (Offense)
The Conversion upgrade gives the Salamander a life leech beam that will target enemy defensive structures and heal the Salamander in the process.- GDI Missile Squad – Missile Storm (Offense and Defense)
The Missile Storm upgrade deals splash damage to enemy units. On defense the Missile Storm splash damage will only hit enemy air units, while on offense it will damage enemy units and structures. The splash damage is dealt in a radius around the upgraded Missile Squad’s main target.- Nod Black Hand – Conflagration (Offense and Defense)
Conflagration deals significant splash damage to enemy units in a radius around the upgraded Black Hand’s main target. This splash damage only affects ground units and can damage structures while on the offensive.
Earlier versions of the patch notes did include more unit upgrades. Unfortunately not all of them are quite ready for release at this time but we are currently in the process of handing over the ongoing feature development to the Easy studio to ensure that the remaining upgrades will be released in the near future by the new team.”
If there are more questions we could point to the fact that we never released more than a few updates at once, last but not least since balancing testing takes a lot of time and we take that aspect very seriously.

Victory Games has released seven more wallpapers sporting the new Generals from the upcoming Command & Conquer game, this time featuring the EU Generals. Again, we see some new faces, like Cleaver and Cutting Edge, while Lupa and Bulldog are the names of previously revealed ones.
These can all be accessed through the Wallpapers section on the official Command & Conquer website. As the APA Generals have been revealed on Monday and two days have passed since, it seems logical to expect that the next faction, in alphabetical order, the GLA, will have its generals revealed and wallpapers released on Friday.

The team behind Generals Evolution, the RA3 mod that will convert the game into a Generals remake, has released new screenshots, featuring the Helix and remastered environments from Generals and Zero Hour.
Tiberium, the Red Alert 3 mod that seeks to reimagine the post-C&C3 Tiberium Universe, will include the Nod Scorpion Tank from Command & Conquer 4. Tiberium's mod team has released a picture of the Scorpion Tank in action.
Crossfire, the C&C3 mod that adds new units to all factions and includes a robotic 4th faction, The Series, has just had its 0.8 beta version released to the public on ModDB. Additionally, Heavy Transports for GDI and Nod have been revealed. These transports serve to bring GDI and Nod's respective massive units, the Mammoth Mech and the Scorpion King, to the battlefield.
Ykudza from CNCSaga.ru has found four new concepts of the interface for Red Alert 3. The final RA3 interface is significantly different from the variant pictured in this images. Additionally, there is the presence of a "Capture the Flag" mode, which implies it may have been on the cutting room floor during Red Alert 3's development.

More interface variations have been released by CnCSaga.ru, this time for C&C 3: Tiberium Wars. Among other things, there are different theatre menus, cameos, loading screens and more. Same as with the Red Alert 3 interface concepts we posted about yesterday, these images have been made available by Insun Kang, a designer who has worked on C&C since Red Alert 2 and remained in the series' development until 2008, after which he moved to Blizzard to work on StarCraft II and its expansion. Here are some samples:
CnCSaga's fourth Birth of a Unit contest ended yesterday. The administrators have had their say and the winners were chosen. Victory Games has released six more wallpapers sporting the new Generals from the upcoming Command & Conquer game, this time featuring the GLA Generals, finishing the circle, so to speak. No new faces this time, just new names: Tactician, Wild Dog, Kitbash and Nitro.
These can all be accessed through the Wallpapers section on the official Command & Conquer website.
An announcement has been made on the official C&C Facebook page regarding EA's press conference prior to gamescom. During that time, on August 20th at 3 PM GMT, two C&C devs will battle it out on the latest alpha build of the upcoming Command & Conquer game to determine who will be the King of Köln: CIRE or Erhard.
The conference and the match will be broadcasted here. EA will also plug all gamescom events on its Twitch.tv profile.
PCGames.de has uploaded a video which takes us behind the scenes of EA's gamescom booths while they're still being set up. Their focus are the stands with large props, like a Titanfall mech and a tank at the C&C booth, which, curiously, has US Army insignia. This has led to speculation that the USA will indeed be the fourth faction in the upcoming Command & Conquer game.
